I am pleased to announce the first Rating System for custom ROMs is now active and you will soon be seeing some changes to current and future ROM releases in this sub-forum.

Purpose
The main purpose of this is quite simple. We want to provide the vast number of rooted Motorola Droid users with easy to understand information that will aid them in the selection of the next custom ROM that they will flash on their device.
Why the need?
The desire to have this RRS has been discussed in multiple threads and based on the feedback received, the community wants it
. Some of us who make it a point to flash every new ROM cannot usually keep up with all of the releases. If you only logged in to this forum once a week, you would usually miss a lot of information. What are the current ROMs available? What separates them from each other? The RRS will make it easier for users to understand the current ROMs available and vital information will be presented in the front of the thread that will give them the "need to know" information.
How this will work...
This is a three part system:
1) Each new release will have a private poll added that will let everyone in the community rate each release. Each poll will be exactly the same and will have the following grading scale:
5 Star ROM Rating: Elite
4 Star ROM Rating: Outstanding
3 Star ROM Rating: Average
2 Star ROM Rating: Not Ready for Primetime
1 Star ROM Rating: Not Usable
2) In addition to a public poll, a panel of carefully chosen community members will provide written, and objective reviews pertaining to each individual ROM Release.
These individuals will will be referred to as ROM Review Panel Members (ROM Revs). A big thank you goes out to these people who have volunteered their time and efforts to make this a successful program!
NOTE: Release Candidates/Beta Releases will receive the same public polls and ROM Rev reviews.
3) Old and new ROMs will be indexed below in the third post of this thread. The information provided for each current ROM release will simply be the ROM's version number and the link to the release thread here on Android Forums.
No external links will be provided in this thread and we hope that more developers choose to post their own release information here at Android Forums so their ROMs are announced with all applicable installation notes as well as screenshots, extras, donate links, etc.
Old or superseded ROM releases will be indexed with the ROM's version number, the most popular rating in the public poll and the link to the release thread.
