Root Rooting/ROM with a Mac, is this possible and how?

I am wanting to root my A855 with a mac and install a ROM. Is this possible and if so how. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it is possible. No I haven't done it myself, but have read enough to know that it can be done, albiet with some Macology. Follow the (terminal command) instructions you may find as if you are on a linux machine, but with the proper added syntax for a Mac.

I obviously don't have the details, but I am sure that google will help you find those out.
