Help Roots and flash phones

i only want to know, can u root an LG Optimus S that has been flashed to Metro PCS. i'm asking cuz when u do get the phone flashed to Metro, u could only be able to use is talk, text, and picture messages. so, is there a way u can root the phone to be able to go on the internet n do all the fun stuff rooting can afore? ? ?

any feed back or info. would be awsome.......

mine is also flashed to metro and yes u can root it with an app called gingerbreak
