sqlite database location on creation

hi all,

i'm trying to create a sqlite db by means of the openOrCreateDatabase method. the first argument should specify the db name: should it contain the full path? /data/data/app_name/dbname.db?
In some forums i read that db's are stored inside the databases folder (inside /data/data/app_name/DATABASES/dbname.db): i tried (using the shell) to navigate the path but I didn't find any databases folder..
Whenever I try to create a new db, if I don't specify the full path, I get an error.
