traveling and phone died--help!

I am traveling and lost the ability to get a signal. I tried a soft reset, etc.....no luck. My wife's droid works fine, so it was not the system. I did a hard reset. Now because I am on a cruise, I cannot do *228 to do a setup, so I called VZ and tried a manual setup.....no luck. any suggestions? I do have good wifi. Any ideas how I can get my phone to work? Thanks!
