Using themes on 1.5

Hi everyone,

I just got a HTC magic today, and went about checking on how to change themes.

Ive read about Ahome and Open Home, 2 apps which allows easy theme changing. However are they got Android 1 only?

Does android 1.5 still require the above 2 apps to change themes?

Hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks alot
