Will you get Nexus One on release day?

I had originally intended to get one as soon as it was released, but now I'm holding out for the Incredible.

What makes Incredible better than N1? Less RAM in Incredible. Sense UI?

Google news is reporting that the UK release date was pushed back to next month for reasons unknown. Hopefully this will not affect the US date...

I'm surprised that they are not offering it subsidized, but maybe this was a deal made by AT&T/Apple to ward off iPhone competition. I hope Verizon offers a subsidized N1, but maybe they won't...

Anyways, I am waiting for the Verizon N1...

AT&T is actually ok here, my girlfriend has been on it with an iPhone for almost a year, and I know of 4 co-workers with an iPhone, none of who complain about the service.

So my NE2 update is tomorrow...Will the droid price go down next tuesday due to the N1? O r will it remain the same because of the rumor that it won't be sold at verizon (i'm ordering the phone, regardless of what it is, online b/c of the instant discount as opposed to the mail-in-rebate.)

Amazes me that ATT got the N1 before Verizon. I wonder if this was some sort of concession due to the law suit. Anyway, i'm losing my patience with Verizon and the releasing of the new android phones. N1, Indredible...just give us something! The Moto Droid is a great phone but we already see the delay in getting the 2.1 os update on this phone. I hope the other phones don't have the same problem from Verizon. :[

I really hope HTC gets their quality control down. Some AT&T users are reporting a purple/pink hue to the displays...

HTC has a history of questionable QC. When I first heard they were making the N1 I questioned Google's rationale for choosing them.
Overall, I think N1 gets average marks for build-quality, If it wasn't for the OS and Google's heavy input in overall design it would actually be a mediocre device.

It shouldn't be a surprise that AT&T is getting it before Verizon, given that it was released on T-Mobile first. All you need to do is unlock the T-Mobile version, and you could drop in a new SIM and use it on AT&T.

Going to Verizon means qualifying a whole new version with CDMA instead of GSM. Much more work involved there.

It's not THAT easy, T-Mobile and AT&T uses a slightly different band for 3G which is why T-Mobile Nexus One's were not able to take advantage of AT&T's 3G even if you bought the "unlocked" version.

My coworker was looking to upgrade this weekend but is waiting. He got his wife a TouchPro 2 and will see what she decides on after playing around with it for the trial period. He asked about the N1 and that rep hadn't heard anything.
