X10 losing value?

When it came out, it was close to $1000! Now you literally find the x10a which is usually cheaper for about $450 on ebay! While handsets like the Desire, N1, all go for around $600.

I checked out how much a Desire with US 3G gos for and it was $700 up! Ridiculous!

Could it be because it has 1.6, and will be updated to 2.1 instead of 2.2 thats its losing value like that? I mean imo its a fantastic phone! If it were to get 2.2 soon I wouldn't want or need any other phone! It just sucks that SE makes such stupid decisions, IMO they always have the best phones but they just have to screw something up on it somehow.....

i think one of the reasons is because you can buy it on rogers now for like 150 with plan. i would buy it with a plan but since no carrier has it in na i ended up paying 560 on ebay
