Ok, still love my phone but a few things are really getting to me.

I have an enormous amount of dropped or static filled calls, hanging up and redial usually works.

The browsers green bar loading about halfway then quitting. I restart when i cant take it any more but seems to be happening alot more often.

I was never very impressed with the camera but I had high hopes lol. Lately tho its goy frustrating. First few times i open th camera its a black screen anxious haveto hit the home key and start again... then after snapping a pic it will freeze on that pic with nothing but the home button working.

There are a few other minor thingd and i still got love for my dinc but I think its time for an updAte...

mine has perfect call quality and zero dropped calls. And I never once check to see how many bars I have. That's for if you have AT&T

I like my incredible.... no problems that you spoke of so far.

Firmware update would be nice... all in time.

Id like to see covers for the extended battery / cover but that's just me...

I spoke to VZW and the tech support and they said they have a "trouble ticket" out on this issue (call quality). They added one for Droid and Eris. She said she believes it's an android issue (Steven wonders how this can be possible).

I agree some minor bugs, but I still love the phone.

Here is my list:
- Camera hangs if you take a picture after zooming
- Sense crashes sometimes when hitting the home button
- Cell standby uses WAY too much battery

I can not wait to see what 2.2 brings...

Yep. I've had it since the day before it was released, but mine is going on Ebay shortly if this call problem doesn't fix itself. It's beyond ridiculous.

I haven't had any of the other issues you have encountered. Really, other than the call quality I love the phone. However, it's a cell phone, and if the phone part is junk, then I don't want to deal with it.

I guess I'm opposite... I was really excited and got the phone at launch. I was happy for 6 hours, then the battery died. That kind of magically fixed itself (with help for sedio ). But I never really liked the phone too much.

Now after a about 2 months I like it a lot. I guess Android just took some time to get used to.

I do wish the camera quality was better. Sometimes faces look washed out... but overall I'm happy.

I've not had any issues with the battery, but I'm a lighter user. Even on a busy day I don't spend a lot of time on the phone and prefer to borrow clients phones when I can. I can get away with this because I'm a computer tech. If I'm working in front of a computer in a business environment, you can bet money there's a phone right there too. You get clearer signals on landlines vs cell phones so it just makes sense.

I haven't noticed the issue with the signal bars, but honestly, I haven't paid any attention to it. I pick up the phone and call and if I get through I get through. If I don't because there's no signal, then I deal with that. I've never had my Incredible not get a signal somewhere my previous phone did.

Same with the internet.. I can have a decent 3g signal or be at home on WiFi and out of the blue pages quit loading and I reboot.


Something else really bothering me and i dont know how to fix it. I often open a few links at a time, pressing and holding the link gives me the option. But sometimes when I try it brings up the looking glass thing and true to search one word in the link. I want it to open that page in another window.

My G1 wasn't like that and i find it pretty annoying..

have you tried bringing it in for service? I don't have any of the problems that you do.

The static and dropped calls were problems I read about others having but has gotten worse.

Same with the stalling green bar.. others report different browsers might work better but im a fan on the stock browser...

It sounds like your phone has problems. I've had mine for about 6 weeks and have noticed NO call quality issues. Also, the only time I have a problem with the browser not loading is if it's a wacked site or I have no signal (or minimal enough that it won't load data). I haven't played with the camera much, but have had great quality with the few pictures that I have taken.

If I were you, I'd seek out a replacement from VZW.

Only issue I had was battery life. That's solved now. Still loving it.
