I don't have an EVO but I would see really no reason why you would go from the EVO to the X, unless of course you didn't have to cancel a contract. I think both phones are great, and that for me it would just depend on what carrier I could get better service with.
1) More then 30fps without having to hack
2) longer battery life
3) better recption
4) More stock version of android
5) better camera
6) faster proccessor
7) wayyyy faster gpu
8) better constuction, not as much plastic.
9) hard buttons
Traded an I/O evo for my nexus one (the guy lived in Europe). New customer to Sprint, forcing me to sign 2-year contract no matter what I do. Going to Verizon where I'm not forced to.

1. Screen (24-bit and higher resolution)
2. Camera
3. 30 FPS cap on Evo
4. Severe input lag on Evo
5. Processor
6. Battery life
7. 3 Mics
8. Verizon
9. Physical buttons
10. It's not HTC
Not entirely sure I am switching but if I do it will be because I'd rather be on Verizon and, most importantly, improved battery life - I had a 1G iPhone before this and I am used to not having to charge my battery in order for it to last the day and I cant tell if its because of the 3G or the phone. FPS cap is also annoying but not a deal breaker for me.
I am about 20 days into my EVO so I need to decide soon (and see if Verizon will let me have a temporary phone without a restocking fee).
Yeah too bad you can't use it while it's on the kickstand it will just fall over as soon as you touch the opposite side of the phone from the kickstand
Currently still running a Nexus One but if I did make a jump to a 4.3' monster it would be the DroidX... simply due to the fact that Verizon gives me the option of paying only $70/mo instead of $80/mo.
I'm not on a family plan and its pretty easy to use Google Voice for free text messaging. I also wouldnt use Sprints free mobile to mobile mobile minutes since I dont talk much, so the Evo is basically just flushing an extra $240 down the drain...
It has a better camera ive seen plenty of picture comparisons it shoots hd in higher fps which is another reason and the pictures I see the camera taking from internet reviews are better then the ones im taking.
The omap gets a roughly 35 percent higher mflop score which has nothing to do with the gpu if you think the snapdragon is as fast as the omap 3630 ur in denial.
The improved reception is because verizons network is better and there is aslo a much better antenna in the x
Guess I just assume in order to be safe but thats a good point if I need a kickstand later I'll have to contact the company that manufactures it to see if its made cow-free
1)Hate Sprint, Love Verizon
2)HTC has been having a lot of complaints an issue with their devices(Eris, Hero and now EVO)
3)Hate Sprint...Already said that
4)Test photos i've seen look better "In my opinion" on the X than EVO
5)Hate sprint
6)I think I am getting sick of sense(have had three devices) and it would be nice to have a blur like device...I was hoping it would have motoblur. I always wanted a blur device due to the fact I am a heavy myspace and facebook user lolzzz
7)From what people say it will be faster than the already Fast Evo
8)Hate sprint lol
Seriously though if the Evo was on Verizon, i probably would have dealt with all my HTC issues because it is a great device.
