guys, lol..i was just going to post regarding this problem. My problem is that with the phone being touchscreen, the snooze button accidently snoozes the alarm whilst the phone is in my pocket. Will klaxon solve that problem? Also does klaxon work along with the standard calendar?
I'm not sure why you would set the alarm to go off while it's in your pocket...? unless for maybe setting yourself a reminder, in which case you should check out Astrid which works in conjunction with the calender.
I've done a comparison between Klaxon and the default alarm clock for those who are interested.
DEFAULT CLOCK:
When the alarm goes off the screen comes on at the lock screen. There is a small snooze button under the 'drag down to unlock' bar. If you miss this button and drag down it will turn the alarm off. When the alarm goes off the physical keys have the following effect:
call button - snooze
home button - snooze
menu button - snooze
end call button - turns screen off & also silences but does not snooze or turn off alarm
back button - snooze
search button - snooze
trackball button - does nothing
KLAXON:
When the alarm goes off the klaxon screen comes on which displays your chosen clock along with a big snooze button that's hard to miss. when you hit this snooze button your chosen snooze time (eg 10 minutes) begins to count down. If you hit the snooze button agan before this countdown ends then the snooze is reset and will start again. You can also activate snooze by simply turning the phone over which is the best thing ever
When the alarm goes off the physical buttons have the following effect:
call button - does nothing
home button - turns alarm off
menu button - press once gives option to turn alarm off
end call button - turns screen off but does not snooze or turn off alarm
back button - turns alarm off
search button - does nothing
trackball button - does nothing
Klaxon also allows you choose different snooze times as welll as set the alarm volume to ramp up. You can also choose any ringtone or music to set as your alarm. There's also a 'bed clock' feature which I haven't tried out yet, but just seems to be a dim clock that you can keep always on your screen when your in bed, so you haven't got to unlock the phone to see the time.
