Dolphin. For sure. I'd say Opera Mini for other phones, but because of the large screen Dolphin is perfect. It has pinch to zoom just like Safari mobile does. Opera Mini has "fake" pinch to zoom, but it will probably get something real soon. Try Dolphin HD.
I'm loving using the gestures feature of dolphin, makes the browsing experience much faster. I have 6 sites that I visit often and just to swipe an N or O on the screen to get to that site is a cool feature I love to show off.
Add another one to the Dolphin HD fan list. Although I'm becoming more of a fan of the native FroYo browser due to its speed... but I love the functionality of Dolphin.
I didn't think I would use Gestures. But I find that I do. And I even made my own. There is a chrome feel to it with the tabs. Getting to bookmarks is easy. They are even making different color skins to use.
I use dolphin HD. I'm posting from it right now. The gestures are awesome, it's tabbed browsing, and it supports multitouch.
I can also get a desktop experience from this browser. It can go to sites that have alternate mobile versions like espn.com. And I have to text size setup as huge so I no longer have to zoom in -- as soon as the page loads I can start reading.
Try some out and see for yourself. You can't beat first hand experience and you can uninstall whatever you don't want. Don't assume that because someone else likes a browser that you will.
Opera Mini 5.1 is the best bar none! It can open multiple screens and save multiple open windows later on in case you have to go about your business doing something else. I do like the video playing ability of Skyfire but it just can't compare to Opera Mini's server side page compression that opens pages lighting quick, thereby saving you time and bandwidth. The choice it ultimately yours.. most are free, why not give them all a try?
I loved opera mini on winmo, but on these fast android phones, it's really not much faster than stock/xScope and giving up javascript, to me, isn't worth it.
Still might come in handy in a poor signal area as it actually works very well on 1x even.
The stock browser and skyfire are the best by far because theyre the only ones that utilize flash well. Who cares about pinch zoom, gestures, and all that other malarki.
Opera is not faster, or smaller than dolphin hd, & doesn't support gestures or addons like dolphin. Opera also doesn't properly resize pages. Dolphin hd is much better. There's no comparison. It's dissapointing considering how good desktop opera is.
