So I noticed earlier that my Home, Menu, Back, and Search buttons decided to start lighting up randomly. It did this on and off for a few minutes. Anyone else seen this happen to their Incredible? Do you think it's an application? Because there were no actual notifications or alerts at the time. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either. . .

I believe it's actually a "dimmer" sensor, which senses how much light is in the area you're in. To the left of the "Verizon" checkmark, there's a small dot there (not the charging/on light). It's difficult to notice, but if you put a finger there, the buttons will light up, once you remove your finger, the lights go away (if you're in a fairly well-lit room).

I dont think that is the issue. I believe OP is speaking of the buttons lighting up when the screen is not even on.

I have seen it, but only if I have Wifi on and I have not done anything for a long length of time.

Yes, this happens while my phone is locked with screen off after I push the power button. I don't have WiFi or GPS on.

Ah, interesting. I misinterpreted. Let's see then.
When the screen is off and you turn it back on and off again, do the lights go out on the capacitive buttons? Have to tried resetting to factory default? Has this just started happening recently or has it happened the entire time you have had the phone, you said this isn't the first time you have seen it. Also any new applications installed recently?

Yes, the capacitive buttons go off with the screen. I have not, I'd rather not deal with resetting my phone. This has been happening on and off for awhile, didn't really take note of when it started, so it's hard to say which (if any) application could be causing this.
