My luck...I got a bad Incredible.

Well......just my luck. While having my phone activated at the local Verizon store a pop-up came on the screen. Of course the lady there said it's nothing to worry about. Well....since then I noticed every time I turn the phone on and at random times I get a pop-up that says "Sorry! The process com.htc.bg has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". The only way I can close the pop-up is by pressing the "force close" button. I called HTC and they told me it's a warning for the background sync program and it's a bad phone. I called Verizon and they asked me to remove all the apps, perform a soft reset and try a factory data restore. Well...after trying all things they are sending me a new phone. It's being overnighted tomorrow for Saturday morning delivery. And Verizon is actually paying for the overnight shipping.....which is a good thing considering it's not even a day old. The only thing that sucks is I'm gonna have to pay for another ZAGG screen protector to be installed. Hope this phone is better.

Sorry about the phone. Regarding the Zagg protector, I believe that they can be reused, you simply need to make sure that they have no debris or anything on them and if you still have the application liquid (enough to do another install) you slap it on. My first attempt installing didn't go well, so I pulled it off (make sure not to stretch it when removing it) made sure there wasn't anything on the side applied to the phone, reapplied the application liquid, and squegee'd it on. I still had issues on that install but on the third install I got it about perfect. Not bad considering I had never installed a screen protector before. So my experience leads me to believe that the application liquid container has about enough to do 3 installs. I don't have it on mine anymore as I went to a Stienheill crystal one, but I still have it just in case. I understand you can make your own application liquid, it's something like water and very very small amount of dishwashing soap. Hope that helps.

Well......I went with the Zagg because I went through 2 Steinheil CC screen protectors and 1 from Case-Mate which came with my case. Every time I put them on I had dust trapped underneath and bubbles. I was so frustrated after messing with them for an hour I finally just went to Best Buy and paid to have them put on the Zagg. Needless to say the Zagg doesn't have a single bubble anywhere and with a lifetime warranty I figured it couldn't be beat.

Just remember to get a replacement invisibleSHIELD instead of purchasing the entire invisibleSHIELD again. You should only have to pay to have the invisibleSHIELD installed. As long as you have purchased the invisibleSHIELD in the past you have our Lifetime Replacement Guartantee. Please let me know if I can assist you with anything at all! zaggchick@zagg.com

Couldn't agree more, its like trying to slide your thumb across fly paper.

Agreed. Mine also created a rainbow/line effect after about 2 weeks on the bottom half of the screen. It was very noticeable and annoying.

Had to throw it away.

I just got the Accessory Export Phone Effects - Crystal Clear 3 pack for $3 shipped on Amazon.

Have the same on on my Zune HD for 6 months. Works great.

I've had my Incredible since launch day. Throw it in my pocket (by itself, not with keys) all the time. Dropped a couple of times (though not too far). Naked screen, still as scratch-free as the day I got it.

Obviously it's a matter of preference, but you really don't need a screen protector with this phone.

I just bought the my touch slider and I get that same exact error message. I took the phone back the next day and exchanged it for another 1 and it's doing the same thing. Wtf does the error message mean and what should I do? Exchange it again? I didn't download any apps or anything on either of the phones.

Come to find out through research on here....the error message is a result of incompatability between the latest Facebook update and Android 2.1 operating system. The guy at HTC told me it would be resolved with the Android 2.2 update...whenever that happens. To stop mine from doing it I turned off the contact sync feature on Facebook for HTC Sense and it hasn't done it since then.

did everyone that complains about the zagg screens actually use them for more than a few days? the stickiness wears off. and unless you are pressing very hard on the screen (haha i said hard on) your fingers don't get stuck.

plus zagg has a lifetime warranty.. get a new protector for any reason for free (minus shipping and you have to send the old one back.. still, $4 + cost of a stamp for a new one is pretty good in my book)

ugh. invisbile shield. biggest waste of 25 dollars i ever spent. i had that thing on my enV touch back a year ago...it IS like dragging your finger across fly paper. it's absolutely awful. it squeeks while dragging your finger across it too. oh, and remember their whole, "OH EM GEE, 100% UNSCRATCHABLE!" thing? yeah. guess what? took my fingernail to it one day and scratched a NICE BIG line down the middle. are you SERIOUS?

that thing was the worst product i ever bought; the cheap ass 2 dollar verizon screen protectors were better than that garbage. in the end, i took off the invisible shield, and it was like having a whole new phone again. basically, learn to take care of your stuff, don't put it in the same pockets as keys and sharp objects, and you won't have a problem with scratching the screen.
