I'm confused on what these apps exactly are. I first downloaded 3D gallery which I then found out I have to download Flickie. I did and now I'm lost. I see flickie is a gallery of several pictures you can use for a wallpaper. But is that it? And I see one of my options is 3d gallery but it just shows the pix I took. Then when I go under settings and wallpaper I see flickie as a option but when I click it says that I have no photo select. Can someone explain this a little better to me and what 3d gallery exactly is.

If you're looking for the 3d photo gallery - as seen on the Nexus One with Froyo - then the 3D Gallery app in the Market - made by Wallpapers (you can check if that's what we're talking about by going to the Market, Menu->Downloads and checking it) - is NOT that same app.

That - as well as Flickie - are just wallpaper apps.

Note how its name is similar to Flicker, the _great_ photo-sharing website, to further confuse things.

It's not you - it's them.

They both sound like bait-and-switch to me, I'd uninstall them - but - that's my opinion.

You have to save the wallpapers from Flikie and then they will show up in the flikie file under your 3d gallery and wallpapers. Works the same for the 3d gallery you have and the stock froyo one.

The Flikie 3d gallery is the same as the Froyo one other than that pinch to peek nonsense. At least from what I've seen. I have had both.

I personally like it better because of the pinch to peek feature and as for it being slow, I have no problems at all looks way better than the stock gallery a lot more futuristic

pinch to peek only shows a few of the hundreds of photos tho....and yes...it takes a horribly long time to lad the photos....the other gallery they are right there ready to go.

that's odd I have like 174 pictures and when I do the pinch to peek, it shows 174 pictures also if you shorten up the pinch the pictures flow the other way i dunno i love it over the stock gallery

It just takes a while to "populate" the gallery. Once the gallery is populated the app remembers them(cache maybe) and it is instantaneous next time around. But we are a talking a good 10 minutes to load them all up. And also, if you "hold" the pinch to peek gesture....it will keep the pics flowing for as long as you hold the gesture...
