Voice dialer problem on droid froyo

I was eagerly awaiting Froyo for BT voice dialing capabilities that functioned flawlessly on my old Razr. Since the update I've found that with either the BT headset mike or the phone mike voice recognition is horrible, with only a 20% success rate, while voice search through the phone is >90% accurate. Worse, when using BT, voice dialer doesn't confirm like the old Razr did, just dials the wrong number. It is totally useless in its current form. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a work-around? Thanks.

I feel your pain...however if you crank up the volume you CAN barely hear voice confirmation...the volume is the problem...

Doubt that's the main issue, although it may be contributing. I tested Voice Dialer without BT and the voice recognition remains extremely poor. It was always worse than Voice Search, but now it's literally unusable. Must be a problem unique to me; I've seen some mild complaints about Voice Dialer but haven't found too much on the site.
