Help Motorola using my gmail account?

This morning when I signed into Gmail, I got an alert that I had signed in recently from a location that I normally don't sign in from.

It listed the following IP address: 69.10.181.7

"Access Type" was unknown.

I traced the ip and it goes to Motorola out of Sunnyvale, CA.

The list also lists my regular activity including my browser and my mobile.

Anyone else seeing this? Anyone know what motorola is doing accessing my account on my behalf? Is this expected or rogue behavior? Why should my gmail traffic be routed through Motorola?

I noticed this when I first activated my Droid 2. Do you recall when setting up accounts having to agree to using "Motorola Data Services"? I believe that's what this is - you agree to that (no choice if you want to setup your accounts) and the initial authentication from the phone does indeed pass through Motorola's servers.

After that though, I've not had any more IP sources originating from Motorola in my Gmail logs.
