Droid Eris Widget help

I am very new to smart phones, this droid eris being my first one upgrading from a standard flip phone. I love the phone and haven't had too much difficulty with it. I have installed the people and bookmarks widgets to my home page. How do I delete contacts from the people widget or change the order in which I want to view them? I don't want to delete them permanently from the phone, just from the widget. Also, how do I delete bookmarks or change the viewing order in the bookmark widget? Thanks for any and all help.

Is the "People" widget the one that was pre-loaded on the first screen to the right that can hold 9 people to quick call? I don't have the phone right here with me but if I remember correctly you can tap on the little bar under their pictures with their name in it. It took me a little while to figure that out. I haven't figured out how to change the order in which they are viewed though.

the people shown in your people widget are your "favorites". to delete them from there, go to your people shortcut. the first view is all your contacts. go 1 to your right, and those are your favorites. hit menu to add/delete favorites. as far as i know, there is no way to change the order in which they show up on the widget. they are just in alphabetical order.

for bookmarks, open up your browser. hit menu, bookmarks, menu, remove, and select the bookmark you want to get rid of. the same with this widget, you can't change the order of bookmarks in your widget, they show up in the order you've added them (newest = first). you CAN change how your bookmarks show up when you're viewing them in the browser (menu, bookmarks, menu, view by).
