well im having a bit of trouble. gonna be kinda long. so i had rooted my 2.1 with easy root and installed a custom rom. Verizon kept trying to push 2.2 ignored it for a little then said wtf ill do it. not too worried about loosing root. no issues. this was about 3 days ago. today i go to make a call and it crashes when i hit the phone shortcut on my home screen. so i restart and now it says "application not installed" when i hit the phone button. so i was going to downgrade back to 2.1 . searched around a little i think i need RSD lite im running 4.5.3 on win7 supposedly got the stock Verizon 2.1 file to load back on the droid when i go to start the transfer (from the power + up dpad boot loader) select the file from my computer and RSD gives me the message "Platform is not defined for CDMA_TYPE-OMAPCHIPSET." and is giving the model as "SE Flash OMAP3430 MI". ok so i hit start and get message "Failed flashing process. Unable to retrieve initialization values from INI file. (0x7029); phone connected) any thoughts or suggestions?

First let me tell you that im having the same issue as you do so i hope this is going to help both of us. I get the same message as you do and i cant install clockwork recovery. Please if you get an answer hit me up so we can fix this. Now for the answer the first guy gave you... that doesn't WORK! I tried to factory reset and it did nothing... if you read what it says to me it cant detect what platform the device is, but then again im not a programmer or developer. Hope you guys out there can help use... thanks...

Do a factory reset first before downgrading - you've only had the system for 3 days, I have had it for 3 months and I'm telling you - it is a vast improvement over the 2.1 OSs.

If you're forced to downgrade, the best way to do so would be to use all of the files from Peter Alfonso - Get the ESE81 file under SBF section (Peter Alfonso) as well as the RSDLite 4.7.

For the OP it sounds like it might be the older version of RSDLite that is causing the problem - have you run it as administrator?

And I meant to do the factory reset to try ot fix the phone call issue, not to help RSDLite - compleley unrelated options.
