Help What Happens When If I Delete All Contacts?

So I did a factory reset after getting 2.2. I got most of my contacts back thru Facebook and Gmail syncs when I set them up at the beginning. I foolishly "Imported from SD Card" my "Phone" contacts that I exported pre-factory reset thinking it'd just add the ones I didn't have synced with Google or FB. Now I have like 2-3 of the same for each person and sadly, there is NO way to undo this that I can see... unless there is?

If I delete ALL contacts, will it automatically restore the ones I sync from Google and Facebook so I can lose all the dups and trips?

Any better way to handle this? I can't stand when I type a friend's name in Handcent, I see his/her name and number show up 3 times.

Thanks!

Just " link " them together with the stock people app. Worked for me. Gathers all info in one place. And can still check them out Individually. Only shows one name when searching or in phonebook.

I did that a looong time ago. It still doesn't solve the problem. When I open one of my contacts, it shows the 6 linked contacts in there, 2 or 3 being the same.

Basically, I just want to know if someone who deleted all their contacts can tell me if the Google and Facebook ones will reappear after a sync.

Thanks

Well I got impatient and tried it. In the event it's helpful to anyone else, here's what I did to make my contacts 10x cleaner.

"Find & Merge Duplicates..." in Gmail on my computer's web-browser.

Cleaned up my contacts a bit in Gmail.

On phone: Settings -> Manage Apps -> Contacts Storage -> Clear Data

Resynced all contacts in Gmail and Facebook.

Everything looks great.
