studying in mexico

Why would you want to study in Mexico? Do they have any good universities? It's much better to study in the US. You will get far better support.

Well my parents have an empty house I can live in so no house or dorm payment. I only have a certain amount of money saved up and college is much cheaper over there. the cost of living over there is also much cheaper, for example no car insurance is needed in mexico.

What area are you going to be in? Will it be a safe area? Will you really be comfortable there? If you're confident with going over there and studying, then great. I just wouldn't want to leave the US because the education system is far superior to anything Mexico has to offer and it'll better prepare you for your career in the US.

Perhaps try getting any kind of financial aid and scholarships.

I plan on doing med school overseas in the Caribbean. There's a disadvantage in placement in residencies for all foreign students. A strong Step 2/3 score can offset that, though. Also, having connects for both clinicals and residencies helps a ton too.

Of course, that's medicine. Not sure what disadvantage international computer programmers have. There has to be some, to some extent.
