Hey everyone. Got a question. I called Verizon Tech Support and explained to them that I have had the Droid for 2 weeks and I am very unhappy with the sound quality. They tried to trouble shoot it by having me to pull the battery and then the *228 which neither did any good. So they told me since I was in my 30 days they would replace it with a new one but I would be charged a $35 restocking fee. I said wait I don't want to exchange it for a different model of phone I just would like to get my Droid replaced with another Droid. They then told me the only way that I could get around the restocking fee was to take it to a Verizon store. I said that's nice the closest one is 50 miles from where I live. I called them back to see if another tech would tell me the same thing which they did. I guess I was just floored of having to pay the restocking fee for a replacement phone. Has anyone else had to do this?

no...you should only have to pay the restocking fee only if you get a different phone

That's what I thought. I just tried again and called for the 3rd time and got the same answer. Does not make since I would have to pay a restocking fee to get my phone replaced with the same model. The last time I called I asked to talk to a Supervisor and she told me that is Verizon policy.
