Help Can't play music from new SD card

Issue: I've changed my 4GB card for a 32GB one, and now everything works except playing music. Seeing as that was the main reason for getting the bigger card, I'm a little disappointed :-(

I use a Mac, and copied a load of MP3 files onto the new card while mounting the phone as a USB drive, the same way I did for the original card. I've tried the built in Music app as well as MixZing and MoodAgent, but none of them are able to open the files, which I can see with Astro.

I've tried reformatting the card (using the phone) which has made no difference.

Any help will be welcome!

These files aren't protected with DRM are they?
Have you tried any other source for mp3s like downloading one from a PC or online?

How much did you pay for the card? What brand is it? Where did you get it?

if you mount the SD card on Mac, can you play them on the Mac from the card?

There's no DRM on the files. I ripped them myself and converted them with lame. And they played quite happily from the original card.

With the fake ones, they show as 32GB, but the space may be significantly less. Say its only 2GB, if you put 3GB of music over it, 1GB has nowhere to go so it over-writes an existing 1GB of data, thus corrupting it.

Copy one of the music files from the SD card back to the Mac, can you see if you play it.

I have the same issue, i have android froyo 2.2 and i cant play music that are stored on the sd card but when copy those music on the root directory it plays it. i have no problem viewing documents such text and word format its just that music wont play
