Root eris market fix and nandroid backup

I'm running kaosfroyo 35-1 and I read somewhere that eris market fix will help me find some apps that 2.1 market wont show me. im worried about running it from all the warnings its given me. does anyone have experience with this app on 35-1? and is there a link for a step by step nandroid backup?

It worked great, thanks alien. I found my missing NY Times app plus a boat load of other sweet apps. Still can't find angry birds though.

Seems that some people are having mixed success with it...read through the threads...perhaps you'll have better luck.
