Phone froze up

Just got off the phone and pressed end call and nothing, the phone was froze.
Waited a few minutes and still froze.
Took out the battery and when I replaced it, it worked fine. I still have a few days before 30.
Any thoughts?

No telling what might have caused it. If it happens again you may want to take it by the VZW store if you have one nearby. I think they are extending the warranty to 60 days due to Christmas, etc.

Having the same problem on my new Eris. Im not really sure what it is but its also happening to me quite often. I notice it more when the phone gets cold from the weather.

it's not a bug, that's just the risk you run when using an android device. android is not like your typical os like iphone, blackberry or windows where you can actually close a program. android keeps them all open since it manages apps differently, thus running a higher risk of your phone freezing or rebooting. a stronger processor will result in this happening a lot less of course. it shouldn't happen too often, but i would expect mine to crash every once in a while.
