Refresh SD card

Is there a way to "refresh" the SD card after copying new files to it?

Scenario: I copied some new mp3s from my network drive over wifi, but when I go into the music player, the new mp3s don't show. I have to unmount and then mount the SD card or mount the phone as a USB drive on my laptop.

It's not a killer, but it would be nice to be able to force a refresh rather than digging out my USB cable or popping the back cover off the phone every time I copy new music to the SD card.

Okay great app use it after using SwiFTP its called SDrescan

You can actually do this without loading a special app. After you load the new songs go into the music player and set it to shuffle all songs. After the first song has started to play the new songs should show up in the list. I assume that when you set 'shuffle all' that the player rescans the music to determine shuffle order, and therefore finds the new songs.

I use SD Mount because I transfer pictures via Dropbox a lot, such as wallpapers and icons. And of course, it works for music and other files too.
