Well I am officially on day 32 of owning my evo so I am past the point of no return. I could not be happier with this phone and hope to have a long and fruitful life with my precious. I was nervous about changing over to sprint but I could not be happier with the service I am getting. I just wanted to post a positive post for once as it seems their is so many nit picky negative posts on here and for once I wanted to let people know that there are some completely satisfied customers out there.

X2. When I was still in my first 30 days, I actually considered switching for the Epic. Not that I had any problems with my Evo, It has been wonderful, but because that's just how I am. I buy simething, and then I wonder if I should have bought something else. I am so glad that I resisted the urge..... I have a feeling that had I switched to the Epic, that I would now be mad at myself for leaving my beloved Evo. I am 100% confident that I made the correct choice.

I paid full price for both of my EVOs at launch. I do not regret it one bit. One of the good things about paying full price was that I was up for an upgrade on October 1. The only problem is that there is no other phone I would rather have and there is nothing really in the pipe that I have heard that will make me think about changing devices. I know when this phone came out, some of the reviewers used the term "future proof". The tech community recoiled at the term and it's use for any device. Yet here we are, 5 months after launch and this is still the phone to have and Sprint is still basically getting the same price for it. 5 months is an eternity in this business. Anyway, what an incredible device. And now that I am dabbling in the rooting stuff, the phone is new all over again. Anyway, love this thing.

I agree, I never been one to have the latest and greatest immediately. I felt like when I got my Hero last year although I loved it I saw numerous other Android coming out that simply looked better spec wise and w/ cosmetics just 2-3 months after owning my Hero. But with the Evo I still feel like there's nothing topping it.

I switched from AT&T and paid some hefty early termination fees to switch to Sprint and get a good android phone without the need for special unlocks or other software to install apps that I want and need. I have to say dumping AT&T and their crappy service and phones was the best thing I did. Buying the Evo was another good decision and I have to say I still like it and I am one of those people that gets tired of the bugs of the phone really fast.

Same here, dumping ATT for Sprint. I had mines for over a month, then now my bf has one, and I got 2 more, one for the brother and mother. Im going to pay a heavy early termination fee for all 4 of those lines alone.

I switched from T-Mobile a month ago. Best phone, and probably the single best electronic device I have ever owned. There is absolutely no task I can't complete with this device.

P.S. You can avoid the early termination fee by doing a change of responsibility with most carriers. You just have to find someone to buy your current contract, try using craigslist of a phoneswapping site.

I agree too I thought twice before joining Sprint because I travel to Europe and Asia. I solved that problem with the old blackberry which I unlocked for 5 bucks and now I enjoy my Evo while in the United States and work with the blackberry when outside. Evo one of the best phones I have come in contact with in a very long while. Moding, installing apps from 3rd party sites and multimedia has been great. Great phone -everything in one

I also ditched ATT for Sprint just to get the Evo. Well actually, I planned on coming to Sprint anyways because they have a much cheaper unlimited plan. With ATT, all you get is unlimited talk and all. Data plans is extra. But the Evo made me switch faster. And I could not be happier with my service, phone or customer service.

I played around with my cousin's new Iphone and that thing feels so juvenile compared to the Evo. Can not customize unless you jailbreak. There is no uniqueness to it. I still feel 5 months later, no phone is topping the Evo overall. And good thing for us, Sprint and HTC is still advertising the heck out of it on tv. Even more than the new Epic. That means they will still give us the latest updates and all.

This was my first smartphone and I used to think I just need a phone to talk and text and that is it. Well now that I have this, no way I could go back to a "dumbphone".

I just had a friend of mine pick up my phone and go oh god why is it so heavy is it a laptop or something and I said exactly it is just like a little laptop. Also on engadget I just read about the archos android device which is basically a android version of an ipod touch so you know that with devices like that the games and apps for android will only keep getting better. Also developers don't have to kiss apples ass or play by their rules to get their games out there, and I forcast that the market is really going to pick up steam.

I'm just glad that Android is doing so well mainly the Evo, I felt like Sprint wouldn't ever get a real flagship phone for so long. They had other but they just didn't cut it and the marketing was lackluster. The Evo is here to stay. When you think AT&T, you think iPhone. When you think Sprint, you think EVO 4G :)

I haven't been on here in a long time...well because I really have not had the need to be... I have been very happy and Satisfied with my launch day Evo... and it is the best phone I have ever owned, and for the first time I dont have an itch nor a desire to go out and purchase a new phone...this has never happened to me before I used to buy 1-2 phones every year...

Personally no phones that have been announced yet(except for maybe the Optimus 2x) are that far superior to the Evo that makes me want it...I am really hoping Sprint can get a stock Android phone in 2011, Sense is cool and All, but I really wouldnt mind stock, or atleast give us the option to use the stock launcher like they did before they removed it...

Other than that I cant wait for a decent android tablet to come out...Maybe that Motorola tablet that Andy Rubin had...it looks sweet...

Oh well just came by to say...I am still happy
