Help Please advice - Galaxy S update to 2.2

Hi guys

I updated my galaxy S three weeks ago to 2.2 using instructions found on the net. At the time 2.2 was not available in in UK - however the instrucation forced Kies (Glaxy PC suit) to update mt SGS.

However, now there is a UK 2.2 is available. I connected my SGS and went for update , and KIES says

you cant force kies to do anything, there was a method whereby you could temporarily alter the registry but that has been stopped. if your mobile is T-mobile then wait until they officially release it.

Fact is you can make kies do this that and the other, but if it still recognises that your phone is anythign other than unlocked you wont get update.

have some patience its due out by the end of this month.

the guys on Tmobile I would not hold my breath for the end of the month. T-mobile promised a 2.1 upgrade for the galaxy portal.... it never happened.
