Ok......i have checked some older threads about this issue. I would love understanding or clarity on this issue.

I am so frustrated with not having WIFI strength in a place(south of Richmond,VA) where there is good tower strength, for call connect-ability and WIFI strength. Saying that, I have a D1-unrooted 2.2 Froyo, and all the while I loose my WIFI bars where I know there is great connections.

I could go on...could it be that my D1 does not "attract" good WIFI? If I root are there ways of getting my WIFI awesome all the time, or possibly all the time?

I think you mean 3G, not WIFI - and I'm not sure what you mean by WIFI bars since there really aren't any.

any help????? With my query??
All you can do is use the *228, option 2 routine to update your phone's knowledge of where the cell towers are, and power off and on every few days to keep the innards fresh. Other than that, the propagation of radio waves has a bit of black magic to it. Some times during the day in my house I can get 3G in some rooms (all on the same floor) and not others, and then at other times all the rooms are booming. Accordingly, most of the time I switch to WIFI at home for consistency. It also depends on how may other Verizon users are hitting the same tower at one time.
