Help Merge and G2 Differences

I just played with a G2 at T-Mobile and really liked it. I wanted to figure out what the difference between the forthcoming Merge and the G2 our.

Here are the ones I know about.

Keyboard.
Slider mechanism.
Merge has Sense
G2 has optical trackpad.
G2 has 4G, Merge it

That's a good point, and after reading my original post I realize it was idiotic.

I should have asked, is it possible that things like "Call sound quality, or
Photo and Video quality" could be better or worse between the G2 and the Merge.

So, for example, have there been phones in the past that shared the same hardware specs but had different outcomes on one model/carrier versus the other?

Will the photo and video quality on the Merge be identical to that of the G2, or could software or hardware changes on the Merge make things better or worse?
