Will wonders never cease?!! LG plans to drop its Optimus line of Android phones in Q4 with Nvidia's Tegra 2 Dual Core CPU. It is said to have a 1ghz processor but on that Dual Core, they are predicting up to 2x faster web browsing and up to 5x faster gaming performance over single core processors running at 1 GHz.

Tmo has two scheduled LG phones said to drop in November, on the leaked Roadmap we've all been looking at for the past few months. Hopefully one of them is an LG Optimus!

Now, if LG can just wrap this puppy in a sexy package, this will be sweet! - This will more than make up for my disappointment with the so-called Emerald Project (which seemed to back pedal off of the much bally-hoo'd 4.3 display and dual core processor that the rumor mill predicted)

Here's the story: LG to deliver first dual-core Android smartphones in Q4 – Android and Me

Wow this might be the phone i've been waiting for. I've been waiting for the Desire HD but it looks likely that HTC will be using the same old snapdragon with poor 3d abilities. Im a pretty big gamer so this LG phone with a Tegra 2 processor (wow) might be exactly what im looking for. Hope it comes to Europe unlocked with at least a 4" screen.

There are many Moto Cliq XT owners who will verify that a Moto announcement doesn't always mean timely delivery (Many have been waiting since June of 2010 for an announced upgrade in OS and are *still* waiting as of today 2011!). "Coming soon" becomes a never-ending mantra. Or, if you do get it will you be like the Quench users, will you run the risk of not being updated? No thanks, that's not my idea of a good time.

That doesn't pertain to hardware two different things

The flip side of that is the Motorola's on Verizon. They have been supported very good by Motorola and Verizon.

Then look at the Samsung Galaxy S line. Higher end phones than the Cliq XT and Quench and their support isnt up to par so far. And that was ppl's complaint from the Win Mo days...
Too bad by the time it comes out Moto will have a few dual cores out

I thought LG has some dual cores coming out sooner? The CES event LG and Moto announced some dual core phones, I dont know the release dates tho.

But if you look at those phones...they are low, maybe mid range phones. Look at the Eris. Some say it was handicapped when it came out. Its just that Moto has more of these low, mid range phones out than anyone else.

Bottom line: The buying public ignored them...in droves!

And did we mention that the unfortunate Cliq XT was $499.99 off contract? Hardly a price to snub your nose at...and still the owners find themselves waiting...and waiting...and waiting for a promised upgrade.

Now THAT is what a have a problem with when it comes to phones. They need to be priced accordingly compared to the other phones out at that time specs .vs spec, feature vs. feature.

Verizon did it with the LG Ally somewhat. I dont remember the off contract price but the 1 and 2 year plan price was lower than normal when it launched.

I called out WP7 phones for this same thing when they launched, all the phones were priced similar when some shoulda been priced lower if just going by specs.

LG Optimus 2X, am I correct? I wanted to buy that phone originally, but apparently they won't be selling it in my country anytime soon. But I'm sure it's going to be an absolute gem. I practically drooled over the specs a month ago and oogled over the speed it had against the iPhone 4 and other Android devices.
