A Personal Question, Droidbots

I'm 21, on my last semester of undergraduate studies in electrical engineering.

I'm always messing around with my devices (hacking OS X onto my HP Mini 311, jailbreaking my iTouch, etc) so of course my Droid is rooted and running 2.1

I can afford a Droid because...wait I can't, my parents pay for my plan. LOL.

You don't need to root to replace your boot animation!

Ah, I remember running OS X on my HP laptop. Were you able to get sound to work properly? That was a b*tch.

I do GIS/3d graphics work for a law enforcement agency. I am fascinated with the idea of using Google Earth in Android. This Feb, I'll be picking up one of them. (I could easily spend 2 years with any of Verizon's Android phones.)

Oldest son is majoring in Computer Engineering at SDSU, he is the one who got me into all the linux open source stuff out there that lead to me getting an android phone.

When I am not printing shirts or cutting stickers, I am on the computer doing graphics and ordering supplies. I usually have a tab open and keep an eye on the forum.

Cool--what airline? One of my best friends is a pilot for Cathay Pacific flying 777s from Hong Kong, so he only flies 2.5 times/month. Pretty damn nice gig.

Who are you?

I assume that most of us here are adults who work a job that allows them to buy an expensive phone (or two or three) with expensive data plans, so are you all at work slacking off and following the threads?

I must admit I am guilty of that occasionally as I linger around here.

Well of course I'm an IT person who's job is of the nature of a repairman (sometimes it's chaos and sometimes it's very slow). This time of year tends to be pretty quiet any way so here I am.
