my friend rooted his phone with unrevoked and then installed cyanogenmod 6, well the problem is that; 1 he forgot to backup the phone first, and 2 during the install cyanogen asked him if he wanted google apps (with the market included) and for some dumb reason he unchecked them.

so he is stuck with an incredible on cyanogen with no back up and no android market! what do i do from here? i have tried installing the "google apps" after and still no market.

is there any way to get the phone to recover from lets say ANOTHER incredible's back up that was put on an sd card?

thanks for the help,
bryan.

Just go back into recovery, wipe data/cache/davlik. Reflash CM and then flash google apps BEFORE rebooting. You should be good to go. Just an FYI that CM7 is available for the Inc and it's pretty sick. May want to check it out instead. Also, don't do the wipes/flashing through Rom Manager. Do it manually! http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/forum-132/announcement-5-cm7-nightlies/
