Did you go by the safe to delete list, or did you just go through the phone and decide willy nilly what was "bloatware"?
This is a Linux hand held computer. You don't just go through and delete stuff without knowing what is safe to delete.
Do me a favor and go through the
Windows subfolder on your PC and delete everything in there you don't think you need.
Bet you deleted browser.apk and/or talk.apk.

Why would he have a Nand backup ? It's not something that is present on the phone just because it's rooted. I don't have one. I use Titanium Backup.
No, he's going to have to restore the phone to factory condition using external software on his computer, like the Andyo70's LGNST files -- and connecting his PC to his phone via USB cable. I did that, but because I had Titanium backup I was able to then go back and restore accounts and apps after factory condition was achieved.

You start removing Android stuff like calculator or calendar, that's not really bloatware, that is part of the Android OS. Maybe you can remove it but it's best just to focus on the extra stuff that Metro put on and leave Android stuff alone.
