I have a 4G Verizon USB modem (by LG) and I am getting insanely good 4G speeds here in NE Ohio -- significantly faster than my Time Warner "turbo" home cable Internet connection, even on its best days. I would love to have a phone with that kind of speed in my hand. But on that subject -- the "in my hand" bit -- I'm not sure how I feel about a phone with the Thunderbolt's dimensions.
Here are the specs that that I find, for the sake of comparison:
HTC Droid Incredible:
117.5 mm (4.63 in) (h)
58.5 mm (2.30 in) (w)
11.9 mm (0.47 in) (d)
Weight 130 g (4.59 oz)
Motorola Droid X:
127.5 mm (5.0 in) (h)
65.5 mm (2.60 in) (w)
9.9 mm (0.4 in) (d)
Weight 155 g / 5.47 oz
HTC Thunderbolt:
122 mm (4.80 in) (h)
66 mm (2.60 in) (w)
13mm (0.52 in)
Weight 164 g / 5.78 oz
HTC Evo
122 mm (4.80 in) (h)
66 mm (2.60 in) (w)
12.7 mm (0.50 in) (d)
Weight 170 g (6.0 oz)
I have highlighted in red the largest competing specs for these three phones. Let me know if you are seeing anything different and what you think about carrying a phone of this size.
