(This is all assuming that sprint will announce the evo 2 at CTIA.) How much better will the evo 2 be than the evo? I am due for an upgrade in April and I think I'd rather spend less money and get the evo instead of the evo 2. Is dual-core really that big of a deal?
Let me tell you, I have the Evo and it is the greatest phone I have ever used. No joke, no exaggeration.
If the Evo 2 will be better than the Evo, it would be best to get that. The Evo Shift isn't really much anything unless you want a physical keyboard.
I'm betting that the Evo 2 will be the best of both of these phones. It will have the big screen the Evo has, maybe bigger, a HDMI port, kickstand, front camera, physical keyboard rollout, among many other things.
That's just judging by how Evo owners reacted to seeing the Shift at announcement. Many of us were upset that it was just so...un-Evoish. No front camera was about the biggest disappointment especially since about every new phone has one.
I bet the Evo 2 will get the Android 2.3 upgrade and I doubt that the original Evo will get it officially.
At this conference, I think the announcement will be more about 4G and possibly the iPhone coming to Sprint because of something I read a while back hinting towards this from CEO Dan Hesse. And 4G possibly new cities getting 4G or a switch over to LTE or some other 4G connection.
