Best Buy Details

Does anybody know if you can terminate a line of a family plan in 14 days? Or is it only new customers?

On another note, i wonder if; since i just started verizons service on the 28th, if i cancel my service before my 14 days are up, then re-start it say a day later, would i be able to still get the "new service price"?

I know there are a ton of speculations on release dates and i dont mean to add to them. To be honest i am trying to wait patiently like everyone else ( evev though its really tough :( ) anyways that being said has anyone else noticed the newer htc commercial has the thunderbolt displayed at the end with a date of March 16th on its screen? Perhaps this was brought up before, but i feel like they had a release date of marc 17th all along.

Ps.., im stll hoping for the 10th as im not sure how many non release dates i have left in me mentally.

The problem is that Verizon is not communicating with the retailers. So what if the release date was 3/17/11 all along. Wouldn't you think they would be able to communicate that to the people that are selling your phone? Why give half asses info to the people that are ultimately the ones that push your product and make you money? As for BMX if you had info, and are truly a reliable source what are you the Ridler? You are not going to loose your job if you just give out the info, no one knows who you are, and if they do then post under a different name. Are we Children here????
OK I'm done feel better now!

What is the price for the HTC Thunderbolt? Is it $249.99 (The price in the ad at the time I reserved it at or $299.99 (Current ad price the last two weeks)? Just for clarification purposes, if I pre-order the Thunderbolt at $249.99, in the form of a $50.00 deposit, the Thunderbolt will cost me 199.99 when it is available for sale or ......$249.99? Thanks for the help.

Confirmation of what Best Buy said a week ago in a thread I started on the Best Buy community forum (Page 3, Post 28):

Jacob-BBY:
"Hi! I have updated information that I wanted to share.

The price will be $249.99 with a pre-order ONLY. The price without a pre-order will be $299.99. I hope this helps clarify.

Thanks for your patience!"

Jacob-BBY is the only person who actually speaks for Best Buy in that thread, but note that there is also a picture of a price tag in a Best Buy store that may also indicate that the $250 might apply for those who are new Verizon customers or those who are adding a line. Still trying to confirm that.

If you're interested, you can find the entire sordid thread here:
BBY - What will be the price of the Verizon HTC Thunderb... - Best Buy Community

All of this gives me hope. I hope that the buy-back will be free as well. I have yet to have any contact with my BB (I was first to preorder back on the sixth) as I want to avoid all of the futility of random answers. Once a date is published I will walk into the store and get all of my questions answered or I will go to Verizon.

A few of us have already called Best Buy Customer Service (1-888-237-8289 [888-B-E-S-T-B-U-Y]) and got them to agree that we will get the free Buy Back promotion. They will put it in writing and give you a Case# so you can have something concrete to refer to when buying the phone.
