Help plzz help for text messaging option

guyz i have just switched from my nokia n72 to sony x8, 2.1 version. its text messaging option is very very strange, plz help me on following areas-

1- it doesnot show how many characters i have typed while typing a message
2- i wana to make different folders where i can save my messages like joke,serious,etc
3- it shows all the messages from 1 contact in same box.

is there any application or software ? i want messaging option like i had in nokia n72 wilth all details seperately, folder , etc

Sounds like you want Handcent SMS v3.7.9.
It's free from Android Market

But I don't think it has ability to manipulate sms in folders.

thnks bro its nice apllication.. but still needs 2 isues to be resolved-
1) i dont like conversation style.. whereby all msgs from 1 contact are saved in 1 location

2) folder issue...

1st is the main.. plz help to sort out that
