I work at BJs Wholesale Club that has a verizon store inside and the sales rep today showed me the thunderbolt shipment they just receieved, was about 10 of them but he said they couldn't be sold until this Thursday. He said something about him thinking that they seemed to be refurbished, not sure how that would be so, but yeah. Sorry if it has been posted but I'm on my phone and couldn't search and I wanted to let you guys know.

What does "looked refurbished" mean then? I'm confused.

I'm not totally certain but I believe it has something to do with the packaging, there were 10 boxes that had the white cardboard sleeve on the outside, then there was 1 (He assumed it was for Demo). That was just a white box with a picture of the phone on the outside etc, the other phones did not have the same packaging/box.

Odd this is retail packaging.

that's probably ONE type of packaging, and the type you'll see in YOUR area...I travel...a LOT, and if I swing by a Best Buy, I see the phones in the cabinets and they look different so I'll ask "What phone is that?"...I've seen HTC's in all different kinds of packaging.

K. I got it off facebook.. So it will probably be the same though

It may, or it may not...I bought my Evo and it came in what looked like a recycled cardboard carton with a paper sleeve...looked really nice. Went back a week later to get one for my kids birthday, and it was in a box like what you show. Broke my Evo, and filed a claim through my homeowners insurance, and got one that was in a Sprint box...None of them refurbished as my homeowners insurance reimbursed me. (and is much cheaper than $7.00 a month)

But, for you, I hope it is the same...
