EVO 3D trim (design) versions. Discuss here.

With the update to the E3D page on Sprint, that makes me hopeful a release announcement is near. I also like the look of the new gold trim surrounding the camera. Thats a keeper to me.

Hummm... that gold trim is a change. It was red in all the previous photo's and video I have seen. I like it too.... very sexy.

Maybe thats the euro version w/ gold trim. And Sprint is requesting red to continue the with the EVO 4G's red trim tradition. But who knows. I do, however, like the red a little better. Either way its nice looking, more refined than the EVO 4G. :)

A GSM version is showing red outline in the link below. I found this in XDA. I don't know how valid it is, but I have no reason to believe it is untrue.

Well as you can see on htc's website the htc branded 3d has the htc lettering in the middle where as this link has the htc lettering on the left which will lead me to believe that they just photoshopped the sprint part that was on the right side of the phone. I will go with htc's site versus some random internet site.

I can definately understand that and it makes sense, too.

Until we know if this differentiates GSM vs. CDMA revs of this pup, I'm not going to care.

I am fully prepared to rationalize why either color is absolutely perfect to accommodate any last minute changes - others are going to be looking at that trim a lot more than I will, so in that sense, I'm protected by an SEP Field - Somebody Else's Problem, for those unfamiliar with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

A few months ago, someone mentioned the red trim on the Evo camera and I didn't know what they were talking about until I turned my phone around and went, oooh, yeah.

I'll only say that if it's gold for us, I'd prefer an elegant champagne tone to it, an easy color to get right.

isnt the trim a part of the back cover? and doesn't the cover remove to get access to the battery? im sure expansys or similar companies will have the GSM back cover for sale. the htc diamond had a diamond looking back cover for the gsm version but the sprint version was just plain. i and some others grabbed that back diamond cover 'cause it looked cooler... so perhaps those who want the gold colour (in honour of the UK folks :D) may be able to purchase one...

This and replacement rear battery covers are exactly what I am hoping to see. A wide selection of trim colors as options to buy post-release would be something I am interested in seeing.

Not on the Evo 4G. The cutout hole for the camera on the back cover exposes the red trim which is part of the phone innards.

But there's a speaker grille on the cover of the Evo 4G... And on the 3D, the speaker grille is actually on the color part. So.... maybe the color is on the cover.
