Root really crappy bluetooth voice quality on fresh 3.5.0.1?

I know this is an "old" rom that very few people are running these days... but I just got a Jawbone Icon Hero headset and I get *TONS* of static on voicecalls. Ironically, the quality of music/podcasts streamed to it is static free. Is this caused by Fresh rom? Anyone experience this when they were using this rom? If so, how did you alleviate it? If you switched roms, what did you switch to?

Thanks.

sorry i never had issues with my bluetooth ear piece. you can try another rom to see if it is a software or hardware issue. just remember to make a nandroid backup first and wipe before you flash away. you can try my setup in my sig if you want to try something different.

I appreciate the comment. CM7 looks pretty great but no sensUI may aggravate me. Still, no static bluetooth would be a lot better than senseUI.

I did a nandroid backup and put cyanogenmod on there a few hours ago. Took about 20 mins for me to find the gapps addon. Seems pretty quick, but no improvement in quadrant benchmark, even when I set cpu to 1133mhz. No bigs. I haven't tried bluetooth yet but I have seen some spotty wifi problems that had to be resolved by rebooting (but were solved upon rebooting).

When I get home tonight (to my noisy wifi network environment) i'll try bluetooth and see if this improves the call quality.

cm7 has its own setcpu so of speak. goto phone settings/ sm settings/performance/cpu settings. i only use this now instaed of setcpu. keep the smartass govenor. couple that with my tiamat kernel in my sig, i'm at 20hrs off charge.

Figured that the wifi issue was related to wifi sleeping settings. Why would the default be go to sleep when phone is idle. Oh well, got it changed.

As for your 20 hours off charge.. is that with 3g, 4g or wifi? I find that wifi uses (at least in 2.1, 2.2 android) a lot less battery

i keep wifi on but churn 3g off. so im at 21 hrs with 23% left. not bad. of course i really have not uses the phone much except for a few phone calls, text messages, and some online stuff. but i tried all the kernels for sense and nothing compared to this. so i'm staying with aosp and tiamat for now. of course i'm a flashaholic so i'm sure i will be flashing some more sense roms soon. especially when the betas for gingersense and sense 3.0 become stable.
