Help USB Debugging "button"

Am I being dumb... I've looked on my phone/the internet and can't seem to find this... is there such a thing as a "button" for USB debugging that I can put on one of my homescreens?

Sometimes, when I wanna do stuff, it would be easier to have a quicker way of turning it on than having to go through the menu process.

I've had it on since about a month after I got the phone and I've no noticed no detrimental effects at all.

It even suggests it in the manual.

Not that I'm aware of no. I've never seen anyone recommend it's turned off anyway.

Are you rooted? I know the superuser app kicks up a fuss if you turn it off.

Yeah, I'm rooted. I've turned it on now and am gonna leave it on. It makes you wonder why they give you the option to turn it on and off... surely it should just be on?

Oh well... at least it means that I don't need a shortcut to the settings on my homescreen!!

I used to have it turned on (ticked), and got 48 hours out of the battery once, but since the Gingerbread update the battery has been terrible. I saw this thread and found USB Debugging had been turned off (unticked).

I've ticked it now and will let you know if it makes a difference
