--GINGERBREAD 2.3.3 ON A VORTEX!!--

Ok, its already been discussed in other threads, "why doesn't the 'Scott Pilgrim' ROM work on a Vortex?" Actually, it does work... mostly.

I'm posting this ROM as a preview, THIS IS NOT A FULLY FUNCTIONAL ROM. It displays roaming in the status bar.

--IT WILL NOT CONNECT TO THE VERIZON NETWORK.--

However, video works, and gives a preview of having 2.3.3 on a Vortex. I hope there is a developer out there that could help with patching this ROM to allow connecting to the network.

The only thing I have changed with the "Scott Pilgrim" ROM is the "build.prop" file, to set the specs of the Vortex. Please refer to the link above for more information on this ROM.

If you have getitnowmarketing's custom recovery, its pretty easy to boot into recovery, perform a "nand" backup, clear data, and flash this ROM just to check it out. Then just restore your nand when you've checked it out.

(Please note: This ROM worked great as a preview on my phone, but I am not responsible for what you do to your phone. Please have a basic knowledge of using boot recovery mode, and both flashing and operating new ROM's before flashing this one.) ;)

well it is seeing the Verzion network
Just a few more tweaks

How about another network?! I'm in Indonesia and using our local provider. The service name (banner) never shows, although I still can use phone for Voice Call and SMS. Is there any way to add/edit service name?

By the way, I also have a problem with DUN. I can't edit MIP setting because default profile is always reverted to Verizon. Where I can change this? Is that true that this setting is hardcoded to RADIO.IMG?
