Hi

Just ordered the Flytouch3 32gb. Can anyone suggest the best SD card/class/make?

Cheers

Dave

They are pretty much all the same. Probably better quality control by the major brands like SanDisk, Kingston, Samsung, etc. There are also speed differences you may want to consider although it is hard to prove that there is any advantage without actually trying them out. There is a good web site you should look at that will answer almost any questions you have about SD cards. FAQs - SD Association

Apps2SD isn't functional as part of this ROM mate. Install Links2SD instead (you'll need to re-format your SD card to have an ext2 partition as well as the FAT32 one).

Hey BBB, when I installed Link2SD, it gave me the choice of format, I selected EXT3 and it came up with a warning about lack of compatability with something or other and suggested I choose FAT32... So I did. Its still hidden!

You must first make an extended partition on your SD card. This should be done using a program like "Minitool" which runs on your PC. You can download it free at Best Free Partition Manager Freeware for Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP 32 bit & 64 bit. MiniTool Free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.. Link2SD will be able to move apps to the extended partition after you do that.

Ummmm....I thought it told me to make two PRIMARY partitions......I'm pretty sure it did... because the instructions said it could resize the first partition and create the second primary partition without having to delete the existing partition but I found it wouldn't do it...I had to save all the data, delete the existing partition, create two primary partitions and format both. FAT32 for the first, and when I tried EXT3 for the second it said there could be compatibility issues with EXT3 and it suggested FAT32 for the second partition. This is using mini-tool and the instructions on the Link2SD app page in Market

EDIT...just read the Link2SD page in Market and it is two Primary partitions

I tryed to make primary partition on 2GB microSD card.
but I could not make it.
I checked the my computer after pressed the apply button.
but There is no other partition.
and inserted to the SPII. it says dameged card.
After inserted to the SPII. SPII did not startup after that.
and I re-flashed the rom.
Please let me know. What was the problem?

Hi,

How are you trying to create the partitions? What program are you using? On what OS?

Hi tbod!

I'm using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition and Windows 7-64bit and 2GB MicroSD card.

1. move/resize and move the slide bar about 1GB.
2. format the new partition FAT32 Primary.
3. click Apply.

Did I made a mistake how to make a new partition?

When i tried re-sizing a partition and creating a new primary partition in the newly made space it wouldn't let me.. I had to delete the existing partition, click apply, then create the two primary partitions from there.....
