So everytime i try to restore a backup it says md5 sum doesnt macth or something like that

sounds like you have a bad backup, or you tring to restore with a different recover other than the one you had that made the backup... for example if you made a backup with 2xxxx and trying to restore it with 3xxxx than possibility it want work.
