Help GPS + Update = Lose phone/3g connection WTF?

What the heck? I tried to use google maps, and also runkeeper today with gps. Every time I turn on the phone GPS and open a gps-dependent app, the data and phone connection is lost. Anybody have a solution for this?

Should or can I downgrade from the upgrade? :p Any suggestions helpful.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Hard reset does nothing. Still having same issue.

What are you asking me for?:p

Just kidding...but I would go back to Froyo until these bugs/features are all worked out. Here is a link for creating a bootable CD that will get you there in one shot:

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip. Downgraded with no change. It seems that its either gps on and no connection or connection/data and no gps. They refuse to be on at the same time.

Called CS today, they think its a hardware issue and I agree. Getting a replacement sent.

Sorry to hear that you have go through the hassle of replacing your phone, but hopefully that will solve the gps/connection issue for good. Just an FYI, I'm staying with Froyo because of all the complaints I've read about GB - it appears that GB is ruining many people's phones and I don't want to take the chance of wrecking and then having to flash/rebuild my DX. I'm rooted, OC/UV'd and have everything set up exactly as I want it...and it all WORKS:D. Even though I have the occasional lag issues, it isn't a big deal to me. I can also tether occasionally if I need it, get strong 3G signal just about everywhere and have never had a dropped call.

I figure why ruin a good thing?
