Root So... whatever happened to the CyanogenMod project?

Doesn't appear that anything has been happening since mid-June. I was looking forward to trying it out. Is there any news?

To quote drellisdee (GNM) in post #3 of http://androidforums.com/getitnowmarketing/350591-project-gretel-cm7-lg-ally.html

7. You understand that I am not getting paid for this and will work on it as time allows.

I don't know GNM personally, but can only guess he's taking some time off from the project and can't help wonder if threads like this one will discourage further development on Ally.
We all want CM7 as bad as you do and I'm sure he will be the first to tell us when he has something ready so please be patient.

I AM being patient. I was just curious as to what was happening. One would think that people being interested in the project would be an encouragement to the Dev. I didn't say anything like "Hey, hurry up already!"

It seems like lately everytime someone asks a simple, innocent question, there are certain people who have to give back an accusing or threatening response. A simple "it's on hold" would haved sufficed.

I'm 54 years old, not some punk kid on summer vacation with nothing better to do. Get over yourselves already!

Lack of skill and knowledge is stopping people. Myself included.

+1 - I only wish I could help more. Unfortunately, the Ally is my only phone, so it has to be working.

I wasn't trying to rush anyone or anything like that. I just hadn't seen any posts for over a month and wondered what the status was. I know it will be worth the wait! :)
