Odd issue with Transformer(Glass not smooth)

Ok this issue is one that I have never heard of before. My first Transformer had a different fault, so I got a replacement from Amazon. Anyway I got the new one in the mail today. Much to my surprise I find that the glass is not perfectly flat. While it is very mild, the glass actually has a slight waviness to it. Like I could slide my finger across it and it would go up and down.

I also compared it to the other Transformer since I had not sent it back yet and the glass on that one felt perfectly smooth. I thought I had gone crazy, so I had somebody else feel too. They could feel the waviness to the glass as well. Anyway needless to say I am going to have this one replaced as well and the new one will be here tomorrow.

Another issue the replacement had is the buttons were recessed into the case too much making them very hard to press. Maybe the worker that built this one was on his last day? lol

Has anybody ever heard of an issue like this? It is definitely a new one for me. I have the worst luck with faulty electronics. :( If the 3rd one is faulty I may haft to give up and go with a different tablet.

I haven't heard of that...I checked mine and it's flat.

My TF screen is flat.
My Droid X screen when looked at on edge looks like it has ripples, but I can't feel them. I'm pretty sure it's the digitizer and not the glass. It doesn't affect it's performance, so I live with it. No big deal.

Sounds like a bad run of glass got onto your TF. Does it affect swiping on the screen (changing screens or scrolling on a web page)? I'd send it back anyways. Sorry your having so much trouble.

You could always charge admission to ride the rollercoster touch screen!

Are you sure the replacement is not a refurbished. The button that you said were recessed sound like a refurbish, and the glass. There are aftermarket company's that refurb electronics and some cheap replacement parts.

one thing i noticed with a Motorola phone that was send refurbished, was after a while the black plastic case started peeling like it was sanded and coated with a hard paint. The company instead did this to shine up the refurbed products and cover scratches. You could not tell it when new but after it started to wear it look that way. I would pay close attention to the minor details and finish of the replacement and if it does not look exactly the same something is up.
