Root What is MS690ZV4-root.zip?

I am going through my android folder on my computer and doing some house cleaning and organizing. I found this and can't remember what it was for. Can anyone shed some light? Is it a ROM that I can flash? Or something to do with LGNPST?

It's from the old way we had to root. It is a 2.2.1 stock rom that is already rooted. You had to install it using lgnpst.

Thanks. The first time I rooted my Optimus (stock 2.2) I was able to use z4root. I can't remember when or why I down loaded this. Eh, I'll probably go ahead and keep it then.

no get rid of it, that way caused you to lose service until you put custom recovery on the phone and right now many people are downloading that one and wondering why they have no service and trying the if your meid is zeroed out and then ending up actually zeroing out the meid.
