We may be approaching a critical rate... but how is the explosion of post going to effect the graph when the prime is released?

The rate of acceleration on the curve will increase until it actually curves to the left - and at that point we'll be going back in time - and the curve will become hyperbolic.

This will continue until someone is the first to post that they have received their Prime.

That point in time will instantly become Moment Zero and mark the beginning of Day One.

The thermodynamics of the situation will be such that this thread will instantly auto-lock, performing a server equivalent of full traversal past the event horizon of a black hole - a fitting end for violating causality.

And because of quantum entanglement, the electrical paths in your skull's wetware will respond by instantly alleviating you of any stress or angst experienced before Day One - indeed, the further you move into n-space (where the Prime exists), the more you may become convinced that this was but a fleeting dream, so short in time that you can't measure it.

You may even experience the physical sensation of velocitization as you struggle to get yours as quickly as possible. In extreme cases, we've observed people attempting to make calls while screaming at the sealed box. We'll be here for those situations, talking you down from the ledge and helping in every way possible should you hit this part of the singularity-response envelope.

This may sound all spacey to some - but this really does happen and that's why we call that sort of event a Launch.

Hope this helps! :) ;)

About the iPhone 4S benchmarks today... I think this is another reason to be excited about the Nexus Prime. It really shows what software optimization can do. That's the real beauty of Nexus Prime (or whatever it's going to be called), ICS. I'm hoping that ICS will pull Android ahead of iPhone... you can clearly see that GB is not optimized enough for the new multi-core super Android phones.

Hey hey hey, let's step back here: This is most emphatically not evidence that ICS will dramatically speed up Android phones!

What it is is evidence that the stock browser in pre-ICS Android sucked royally for multi-core (and probably also for single-core) phones.

Not everything you do on a phone uses the browser. Apps for the most part do not, and won't be sped up by the presence of a faster browser. Also there were already several non-stock browsers available (Opera, Dolphin) that were dramatically faster than stock in pre-ICS Android. So the slowdown wasn't GB, it was GB's browser, which the user can easily replace if they want.

I guess I'm just concentrating on the "Nexus" part. Whether it's Prime or Galaxy, I couldn't care less. Someone here said (probably 15 minutes and 20 pages ago) that if it's got "Nexus" in the name, it'll be updated from Google directly, and I agree.

Just seems promising! I've got my optimist cap on today! ;)

Man you flip flop more than a blond on the boardwalk. You switch hats faster than a hooker in Vegas.

Guess that comes with being a bears fan. . . I suffer with the same disability. :)

Don't know if you Guys have seen this, but these are supposedly the official/unofficial Galaxy specs.:

That's quite interesting. Who is this person? Anyway, the most interesting part is the claim that the screen is going to be AMOLED+. I've not seen this anywhere and I somehow doubt this.. would be great though. They did say that was not confirmed... it looks like a guess. No sdcard is a bit of a bummer as I tend to cram a lots of videos on the phone. Oh well but how "trusted" is this source?

Was reading this forum and am just so excited for the phone that I signed up. Hopefully some more news comes soon!

Welcome to the forums! :)

The key is that the browser improvement for ICS is that it's hardware-accelerated, yes?

yeah...I fail to understand that. I get the whole "Yeah! The OS can handle non-removable storage" thing, but external storage was a big thing for android. Let's just hope that there is still a removable battery.

-Nkk

Agreed.. but I haven't changed my SD card once on my inc so it wouldn't change my mind about the phone.

Unless this thing has a cold fusion reactor built in a non removable battery might be a deal breaker.

Am I reading into the name "EarlyMon" too much? Or was it a clue on page 1 of this thread that the mods made mention of apologizing for not "liking" comments. The next couple comments were all "liked" by "EarlyMon". Early Monday Nexus announcement?
I can't believe everyone missed this post!

Maybe EarlyMon is holding info back. :D But srsly, he just like to give thanks to those who deserve it.

Nevermind, EarlyMon caught it.

Just fyi, my person never said Friday.

It's time to come clean.....I am Steven's source. Go ahead, Steven....tell them the truth. This confused, little old lady routine has just been my cover.....I just can't LIVE this way any more.....so much confusion,...so much anxiety ......enough! Enough, I say.

Wow, very sweet if it's real! The only downside that I see is no SDCard, which I can live with but some others won't.

I'm skeptical of SAMOLED+, since the + implies RGB and I think we're all expecting Pentile at that resolution at least for the next few months.

LED: Yes yes yes thank you!

5MP camera: I know I know, some people want more. I look at it the opposite way: If they're not trying to impress the megapixel junkies, I strongly suspect the thing takes spectacular pictures!

96 pixels reserved: We all know there will either be system controls to tweak them, or Cyanogen will offer the capability.

Surprised more haven't commented on this. Should we take this as authentic or probable?? Anyone???

People have commented on it, might want to refresh ;)

Anyway, I'm guessing the SAMOLED+ thing is a typo? Would that mean an HD screen with RGB or the old WVGA on the GS2? If it's the latter, it's definitely a typo, right?

I've heard SAMOLEDHD or whatever from everywhere else...
